Woman_Scream Poem #1 – The Lullaby

09 Mar

He screamed
He spit like a venomous snake
Words never to be mentioned
Ever again

Never again
So never it was
For she popped a vein this time
And the blade did the speaking
Right through the throat
Her cries were officially not in vain

For he never laid a hand on her again
And spoke sweet nothings in the morning as though she didn’t miss three teeth and an eye swollen shut
She stayed around
With the silence so loud
For all she could hear was her own screams
And her head bashed against the wall

For she now cries no more
She now never weeps with scars that are yet to heal
Its a story worth being told

Never again it was
A lullaby for a lost soul

Indeed as story to be told. Lets all tell it for all to know.
